Strongest winds will be on Latvian western coast Friday

An orange-level alert will be in force in the western part of Kurzeme from 4 pm to 11 pm, whilst a yellow-level warning will be in force across the rest of Latvia from 2 pm until 6 am on Saturday morning.

Wind gusts from the west and north-west in Latvia will reach 15–20 metres per second, whilst on the coast of the Gulf of Rīga in Vidzeme and in western Kurzeme they will reach 20–25 metres per second; on the open coast of Kurzeme, gusts will reach 25–29 metres per second in places...
