Two charged over rape of minor in Vidzeme region

On February 11 of this year, the State Police received information that a girl born in 2013 had contacted a medical institution and was diagnosed with pregnancy.

The investigation revealed that an adult male, who has not been named, taking advantage of a 12-year-old girl, had sexual intercourse with her, resulting in the girl becoming pregnant. The man, born in 2003, was arrested on February 14.
