Nearly 100 illegal border crossers stopped in 24 hours

In total, 10,766 people have been prevented from illegally crossing the state border so far this year as Belarus shows no sign of easing up on its state-sponsored people smuggling operation.

Meanwhile one Tajik and one Uzbek citizen were stopped at the Pāternieki border checkpoint presenting a fake Uzbek technical inspection certificate to the border guards. The persons have been held administratively liable.
