Continuing the cooperation between state-owned forestry company “Latvijas valsts meži” (Latvian State Forests/LVM) and passenger train operator “Vivi”, in August four electric trains will get new names. Three of them are perhaps what any other rail company might choose to conjure up mental images of sylvan glades and shaded groves: 'Briedis' (Stag), 'Apse' (Aspen) and 'Osis' (Ash).
