Druviete had previously served as vice-chair. Council member Ieva Kalderauska was elected as the NEPLP’s vice-chair. Both were elected by a margin of one vote.
Druviete said that she is assuming the duties of NEPLP chair with a commitment to strategically continue the NEPLP’s work: "In the current geopolitical situation, the security of the information space is and will continue to be one of the NEPLP’s central strategic priorities."
